What came up? I wanted to go, but I couldn't make it. [ It's an odd excuse on his tongue, ill-thought out, but there's no taking it back once it's out. ]
[ It was vague, but if it was a lot of things, that was fair. ]
Well... [ Red folds his arms, the action unknowingly being copied by Gengar in a less thoughtful manner than the trainer. ] What sort of answers were you looking for in the first place? It didn't sound like the meeting was put together because some new information was found out.
But everyone talking about it's going to help. [ He sees that tired look, but just give him a second. ] Me and a guy I know were talking about it a few nights ago-- there's a lot some people know that the rest of us don't. Sharing all that's going to get us closer to the same page, and we can think of ways of how to help the city and the people in it.
[ Red breathes then, letting out a huff, voice softening. ] You just came out of a big meeting though, so the last thing you want to be doing is talking about it again... but if you want to talk about it later, I have some ideas that I think might help. Maybe nothing that can defend the city, but there's more we can try to do.
[A lot of that honestly Emizel tuned out. It was already pretty close to other things he had been told about before to cheer him up, and really it hadn't helped. If at all, it made him feel even worse about being unable to shake this feeling off, and what effect it kept having. But there was one bit of information at the end that did catch his interest. Something slightly different than all the others.]
...If it isn't defending the city, what else can there be?
Well, it isn't a defence force [ which is where his mind if going with 'defend the city' ] or anything like that, but when you were in that meeting, did a lot come up you didn't know about? I want to see if there's a way we can find get information to spread out and shared with everyone easier, and some other things too.
[ Red pauses, a hand lifting up near to his chest thoughtfully (and Gengar doesn't bother to copy him now, bored by the conversation and flipping up off to ground to float in the air on her back to say as much) ]
Actually, did a guy with black hair, this tall [ the hand lifts to make a rough estimate much taller than himself ] speak up about an idea of people acting like representatives for the arehtei? He was probably behind the counter-- his name's Alvin.
Sure there is. [ He nods along with that, his head then tipping slightly to the side. ] All of the arehtei are different; Thras and Daimonia might think they don't need it, and Sosyne's pretty disagreeable from what everyone says...
But there's as much of a chance of them agreeing to it as there isn't, or at least some of them. [ He waves a hand, his arms folding once more. ] The idea's to help them too, after all--it's to make it easier for whatever they have to say to get out to everyone. And if they ever need someone they can trust, we all know who that person is, and they do too.
If they did say no... what's the worse that can happen? [ He gives a smile, just to try and help push aside any fears, or some. ] We can still work with them in other ways-- and maybe they just need time to think about it too. Either way, most of the arehtei have been willing to talk with us, right?
...Alright. [ He's not about to keep him there and force it out of him; Red can feel the weight growing, and there's a concern, but now wasn't the time. ]
But I want to know. Later. [ Red's keeping you to that, Emizel. Now go. ]

[Not a whole lot he was all that comfortable with, which was showing a bit.]
Not enough answers if you ask me.

[How should he answer that one...He pouted.]
Like what's the best way not to destroy the whole city, for one thing.

Just don't give up yet, okay?

Yeah, I heard about it.

Was it that bad?

[One of the better things he heard about actually]
But I'm not sure about the Arehtei.

...Peromei would want nothing to do with me.

[ No, he knows that he is; he was one of the people to help with the rituals. So..? ]
no subject
Because I know so. [And going to ignore reconfirming that he was aligned. Although for once, it would be better for everybody if he wasn't.]

Did something happen between the two of you...?
